A practitioner-led home for regional cyber activity
The Hub provides the coordination, physical environment and practical delivery capability the regional cyber ecosystem needs. It is the place; the Cluster is the wider community and economy.
The Hub exists to provide the coordination, physical environment and practical delivery capability needed to help the regional cyber ecosystem function more effectively.
It was developed in response to sustained feedback from businesses, practitioners, educators and regional partners who asked for better coordination, greater visibility, somewhere to meet, stronger SME support, and better links between talent and employers.
What we are, and what we are not
The Hub is
A neutral place to meet. A regional coordination platform. A delivery environment. A home for cyber SMEs and practitioners. A venue for events and community activity. A bridge between employers and talent, and a route between suppliers and buyers.
The Hub is not
The whole regional ecosystem. A replacement for existing community organisations. A generic technology workspace. A defence-only initiative. A short-term events programme. A conventional commercial property business.
The community here
Founders, practitioners, students, educators, business leaders, community organisers and partners. Its strength comes from their willingness to contribute knowledge, connections, time and experience.
The Hub has grown through collaboration between businesses, practitioners, educators, community groups, public bodies and regional partners, and through in-kind support rather than large public capital.

The West Midlands Cyber Hub is the physical place and practical delivery platform. The West Midlands Cyber Cluster is the wider ecosystem, regional economy and strategic community. The Hub is not the ecosystem; it coordinates and enables it.
